The opportunity to relabel the battery products at Interstate came up when the flagship housing of the batteries changed from white-embossed branded body to a plain black body to save the company money. The challenge was to create unique labels that would indicate a budget, good, better, and best model while updating the brand from the corporate logo. The solve was built around the labeling choices. We printed on iridescent label to indicate a platinum, flagship models. Then, each other models followed by gold, silver and black. The black and white version plays a homage to the original Interstate Batteries labels when the company first started.
